School Dress Code
DRESS CODE
We believe that a student’s appearance has an impact on his or her attitude and behavior. Respect for the school community and for the students themselves is evidenced by dressing appropriately. All students will adhere to a dress code that enhances a professional educational environment at all times. Students must follow the dress code Monday through Friday, during off-campus school functions, as well as during Intersession and summer sessions unless otherwise specified.
The everyday dress code consists of the following clothing:
- School Uniform shirt with school logo ( 2 free shirts are provided to all students)
- Appropriate pants, shorts, skirt, or skorts (no ripped jeans, leggings, sweats, pajama bottoms or biker shorts)
- Closed-toed shoes (No slippers, slides or crocs)
- NO Rednattire permitted, including hats that are not eHigh - San Bernardino
- NO Hoodies allowed on school property
- NO hoods on in class.
- It is a safety concern if we can not identify students' faces properly.
- Students are using hoodies to cover the usage of electronic devices.
- Students cover their faces with their hoods during instructions making it difficult for teachers to engage.
- NO Sweatpants (sweatpants will only be allowed during P.E. class)
- NO Head Wraps
- NO Blankets
Students may bring appropriate, athletic attire for the purposes of participating in P.E.; however, students must change back into uniform attire once P.E. has ended.
eHigh - San Bernardino is a dress code school. If a student is not following the dress code, the following can be expected:
- 1st Violation - A verbal warning & a phone call will be made to the parent/guardian requesting a change of clothes. If clothes cannot be provided, the student will be given a “loaner” uniform from the office (if available).
- 2nd Violation - A written warning & a phone call will be made to the parent/guardian requesting a change of clothes. If clothes cannot be provided, the student will be given a “loaner” uniform from the office (if available). The student will have a sit down conversation with an Administrator to discuss how the school can assist them with wearing the appropriate attire.
- 3rd Violation - A conference will be scheduled with parent(s) or guardian(s). A phone call will be made to the parent/guardian requesting a change of clothes. If clothes cannot be provided, the student will be given a “loaner” uniform from the office (if available). We understand the policies set forth in this eHigh - San Bernardino Parent/Guardian Contract and will abide by them. Failure to adhere to the policies as stated in the Parent/Guardian Contract will result in a violation of the contract and will lead to additional consequences.
Parents, Guardians and students acknowledge and as agreed upon, if loaners are not returned or if they are returned damaged as agreed upon, they will be charged a fee.
LOANER PROGRAM
To increase student accountability we will limit the amount of loaners provided to students. To reduce the frequency of loaners being issued to students, the amount of loaners issued will be limited.
- Loaners will be provided for a total of 3 documented infractions.
- After 3 infractions, students will no longer be provided with a loaner and a phone call to parents/guardians will be made, parents/guardians will need to provide the proper clothing for students to return on campus.
